After meeting with Steve and hearing about his natural and relaxed approach to photography, we knew we wanted him to capture our special day (especially as we're so awkward in front of cameras!) On the day, Steve made sure to capture all the formal photos we wanted with our friends and family, and his fun and friendly personality put us at ease for our portraits and couple shots. Steve did such an amazing job capturing the beauty of our venue, especially in the evening sun and made our photos look like a fairytale! We can't thanks and recommend him enough 👏

I first met Steve Barber at the Detling Showground, and his display of artistic portraits immediately made him stand out from all the other photographers. From that moment, I knew I had to book this man for our wedding! As someone who is quite camera shy, I was worried about being in front of the camera, but Steve made me feel completely at ease from the very beginning. In contrast, my partner loves having photos taken, and Steve managed to bring out the best in both of us. Every shot was fun, natural, and different, making the whole experience enjoyable rather than intimidating. The group photographs were incredibly well organised, and many of our guests commented on how efficiently Steve managed everything. We were able to get all the important shots without spending ages away from the celebrations, meaning everyone could get back to enjoying the dance floor. When we received our photos, we were absolutely blown away by the quality. They are beautiful memories of the best day of our lives at Chilston Park Hotel, captured perfectly and with so much attention to detail. More than just a photographer, Steve felt like another guest at our wedding. He blended in seamlessly, helped everyone feel relaxed, and genuinely contributed to the atmosphere of the day. We hired Steve for our wedding, and we're so glad we did. He was one of the recommended suppliers at our venue (The BarnYard) and his portfolio really stood out to us because of the option of the custom wall art, and the vibrancy of his photos, you could really feel the energy in them. In the run up to the wedding, Steve was incredibly helpful and supportive, and then on the day he was absolutely brilliant. I don't know how he managed to get the portraits all coming out so well when on the day I kept being distracted by the drinks being poured on the other side of the courtyard. He was incredibly helpful on the day, suggesting changed timelines to make the most of the light, and to avoid confetti in my hair ruining all our group shots. He was personable, and a true professional, whilst still being a laugh! He turned our wedding photos around so quickly it was incredible - we weren't expecting them so soon given it's peak wedding season, and we absolutely love them. We're so glad we booked Steve, he really is worth every penny.

What an amazing photographer! I’m not one for taking pictures and normally don’t like any pictures of myself but Steve really does know his stuff! He made the whole process fun and enjoyable getting everyone laughing and wanting to get involved for the group photos. All of our guests approached myself and my Husband on our wedding day to tell us what a great guy they thought he was and very funny. We are so happy we chose Steve as our photographer, we were laughing and having a great time and he made the whole process a relaxed and memorable experience. 1000% recommend 😁

Steve is an amazing photographer and such a fantastic guy to work with and know. He was so professional and yet so much fun on our day. He put us at ease and made us feel like we’d known him forever. Our guests also commented on how great he was. My 4 year old only wanted photos taken by “the photo man” on the day and the fact he was so at ease with him says a lot! As soon as we booked the venue and our wedding date was confirmed my wife went about her normal ways and was tracking down the best photographers on the market to capture our wedding. Whilst doing here substantial and in-depth Instagram flicking as well as reading through suppliers recommendations she came across Steve Barber at which point everything stopped and no further research was required. I returned from work and was greeted with photos, videos and comments about how amazing Steve was at capturing the right shots and making others wedding days complete with the best photography on the market. I am a sceptic and take everything with a pinch of salt but on looking on the website I must admit I was taken back by how amazing the shots and artwork was. At this point it HAD to be Steve who photographed our wedding!! It should be the same for you reading this! We reached out and heard back from Steve in no time at all. We had a great video call and Steve’s energy was incredible we explained what we wanted to capture and he explained how the general day would run and what the plan would be in regards to us getting the best shots throughout the day. Ending the call we were so excited we paid the deposit almost immediately. Fast forward and a few weeks before the wedding Steve arranged for us to have another call to run through what we wanted and if there was anything we needed to run past him before the big day. We had another productive and exciting call which gave us all the information we needed for the wedding day. Now I must say if you have Steve and Joe (May Media) this is just an awesome combo for both photos and videography! They work so well together and I hope they both don’t mind me saying so. We had a brief chat on the morning with Steve giving me a run through of schedule for the day and when to be ready and available. Q the day… I wanted game day pics of the boys arriving with their outfits/bags which Steve guided us through in such a way that it was not just understandable but flowed so well. We then had a good portion of the day to relax and get ready whilst Steve was with my wife and the bridal party making magic happen. Small knock on the door and Steve entered the coach house to grab some get ready pictures but due to me having my 17 month old getting ready with me my hands were full and I was not even close to be ready for him. No pressure however he made everything feel super chill and that helped so much as I can be a bit of a hot head when things are not going right. As mentioned Steve and Joe (May Media) both gave clear directions and captured the best shots of both me and my little boy Rupert getting ready and honestly they came out incredible! Its felt like an age ago that the wedding took place but having received the email from Steve to say our photos were ready meant we could relive every moment again and again. Every shot was absolutely awesome and offered a completely different view point of our wedding and captured many shots we would never of known actually happened. Steve we both want to thank you for such an amazing job! We are so happy with the pictures and we couldn’t have asked for a better guy to capture our amazing day. You sir are incredible! Thank you.
